Ras Karanja Nyoro will work to ensure that every resident of Githiga Ward can share in our progress and benefit from an economy that puts working families first.

We will champion opportunities that create jobs, strengthen small businesses, support farmers and empower young people and women to build sustainable livelihoods. Our focus will be on making economic growth meaningful to ordinary families—so that progress is felt in every household and community across Githiga Ward.

    Building an Economy That Works for Every Family

    A strong Githiga Ward is one where families can earn a decent living, young people can find opportunities, small businesses can grow, and hardworking residents can look forward to a better future.

    As I seek to serve as the MCA for Githiga Ward, I intend to make economic empowerment and the welfare of working families a major priority of my leadership.

    Creating Opportunities for Our Youth

    Our young people have talent, energy and ideas, but many lack access to employment, skills and capital. I will advocate for programmes that connect young people with vocational training, entrepreneurship, digital skills, apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

    Supporting Small Businesses

    Small traders and entrepreneurs are the backbone of our local economy. I intend to advocate for a business-friendly environment where traders can operate with dignity, access relevant county programmes, improve their skills and grow their businesses.

    Empowering Women

    Women play a central role in supporting families and growing our local economy. I will support initiatives that provide women with opportunities for skills development, entrepreneurship, market access and financial empowerment, enabling them to create sustainable sources of income.

    Supporting Farmers and Local Producers

    Farmers should be able to benefit from the value of their hard work. I will advocate for better access to agricultural support, markets, training and value-addition opportunities so that residents can increase their household incomes.

    More Opportunities, Better Livelihoods

    My goal is to help create an environment where residents do not have to depend entirely on formal employment to survive. We must encourage entrepreneurship, cooperatives, local investment and skills-based employment.

    The cost of living places pressure on families every day. My approach will be to support practical county initiatives that improve livelihoods, create economic opportunities and ensure that development reaches ordinary residents.

    My vision is an economy where hard work is rewarded, businesses can grow, young people can build their future, women can prosper, farmers can earn better incomes, and families can live with dignity.
