MAKING A BETTER MANIFESTO

RAS KARANJA NYORO — INCOMING MCA, GITHIGA WARD

OUR VISION

To build a united, prosperous and empowered Githiga Ward where every resident has an opportunity to live with dignity and participate in the development of our community.

Our manifesto will be built around the real needs and priorities of the people—not empty promises.

1. EDUCATION FOR EVERY CHILD

We will advocate for initiatives that improve access to education and support children from disadvantaged families.

We will promote skills development, vocational training and opportunities that prepare our young people for employment and entrepreneurship.

2. HEALTHCARE FOR ALL

We will push for improved access to quality and affordable healthcare within our community, with particular attention to mothers, children, older residents and vulnerable families.

3. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

Our young people are our greatest resource.

We will champion skills training, sports, talent development, entrepreneurship and initiatives that connect young people with employment and economic opportunities.

4. WOMEN’S ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

We will support initiatives that strengthen women-owned businesses, community groups and income-generating activities.

Women must have opportunities to grow, prosper and participate fully in the development of Githiga.

5. BETTER ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURE

We will advocate for improved roads, drainage, lighting, water access and other essential infrastructure that makes life easier for residents and supports local businesses.

6. SUPPORT FOR FARMERS

We will promote initiatives that help farmers improve productivity, access markets, receive relevant information and increase household incomes.

7. SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Local traders and small businesses are the backbone of our community.

We will advocate for a business-friendly environment and initiatives that help local entrepreneurs grow their enterprises.

8. CLEAN AND ACCOUNTABLE LEADERSHIP

Public resources belong to the people.

We will stand for transparency, accountability and responsible use of development funds. Residents should be able to understand what projects are being implemented and how they benefit the community.

9. EQUAL RIGHTS AND INCLUSION

Every resident deserves dignity, respect and equal opportunity.

Our leadership will seek to represent all people of Githiga Ward and ensure that development opportunities are distributed fairly.

10. COMMUNITY SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY

We will work with relevant authorities and community stakeholders to promote a safer environment, responsible enforcement of the law and constructive solutions to challenges affecting families and young people.

OUR COMMITMENT

This manifesto will remain people-driven.

We will listen to residents, identify the most urgent priorities and work together to turn ideas into practical action.

We are not promising perfection. We are promising commitment, accountability and service.
